Hoop'n Herway Women’s Basketball League

Hoop’n Herway, known simply as Herway, was founded in August 2023 by Jillian Thompson as a space for women in the Durham Region to stay active, connect, and play the game they love. What began as a local initiative has grown into a vibrant and inclusive community of empowering, uplifting women who inspire on and off the court.

We welcome players of all ages (17+) and skill levels—from those new to the game to seasoned athletes—offering a supportive environment where everyone can thrive. At Herway, we celebrate the incredible growth of women’s basketball and the powerful community that makes it all possible. Join us as we continue to build a space where passion, empowerment, and love for the game come together.
